I'm willing to overlook the occassional dead bird or mouse in the driveway. The day they bury a dead puppy under my window is the day I switch to goldfish.Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13033094637512026342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19717042.post-57240061676841302622006-12-27T13:59:00.000-08:002006-12-27T13:59:00.000-08:00I've got a puppy killing story. One night when I was driving home from school (I was sixteen at the time), I stumbled upon a litter of puppies at the top of my driveway. I got out of my car to fawn all over them, and my family's dog ran up the drive, snatched one of the puppies from my hand and killed it right in front of me. Because my family's dog, Tippy, had up to that point always been an easy-going, friendly black lab, I was a little shocked.

The next morning, as I left for school, I saw that Tippy had dug the dead puppy up from wherever he'd buried it the night before and placed it right outside my bedroom window. The whole debacle was very fatal attraction-ish (Tippy was Meryl Streep).EEKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12257234764063533705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19717042.post-22606791702920434722006-12-27T03:26:00.000-08:002006-12-27T03:26:00.000-08:00the fact that i was the inspiration for such a hea...the fact that i was the inspiration for such a heart-warming post brings tears to my eyes. however, you and i know that you left out one (quite significant) detail...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19717042.post-37363525340901721082006-12-26T16:41:00.000-08:002006-12-26T16:41:00.000-08:00I talked to Chad yesterday, he is doing well, and ...I talked to Chad yesterday, he is doing well, and probably ate one of Puddles brethren for dinner.

I think we should start a blog contest for everyone to post their own "puppy crushing" story.
